The famous Harvard Coop

Harvard.  Doesn’t that just say it all?  We did not take a formal tour of Harvard University, but I have seen the stately campus several times and have even stayed there while visiting law students.   We broke up our trip by spending the night in Cambridge.   The energy is amazing.  Even in 100-degree heat, there were people everywhere.   Harvard Square was abuzz with activity and people from all over the world.   Of course, no visit to Harvard is complete without a visit to the famous “Coop,” where we loaded up on gear.

One interesting fact about Harvard you may not know is that admitted students whose parents make less than $65,000 a year attend Harvard for free.  Yep you read that right, Harvard is tuition-free for those very few brilliant students who meet their top academic standards and come from lower income families.   We can thank former Harvard President Lawrence Summers for that.  Click here to find out more.  Even if you do not have that one-in-a-million shot of getting into Harvard, it is a must see for anyone visiting the Boston area.
